Upper Makefield Township is adjacent to the Delaware River in eastern Central Bucks County. It is here that Washington Crossing Historic Park marks the spot where George Washington's Revolutionary Army crossed the Delaware for their famous surprise attack on the Hessian troops in nearby Trenton, NJ.
