Warrington Township lies north of Warminster Township, continuing the western border of Bucks County. The Township is west of Doylestown Township with New Britain Township to the north. Named for Warrington in Lancashire, England, the area remained unsettled longer than its southern neighbors, and was formed from Warminster Township in 1734.

Warrington Township, known as "The Gateway to Historic Bucks County," includes the villages of Neshaminy, Tradesville, and Warrington. Easton Road (Route 611) passes through the Township on its way from Montgomery County to Doylestown and points beyond. Bradford Dam, on Little Neshaminy Creek, includes 271 acres of parkland with 28 acres of water.
