Warwick Township

Warwick Township is in Central Bucks County south of Doylestown Township and west of Buckingham Township. The township was formed in 1733, and originally known as Middlebury Township. In the summer of 1777, the Continental Army camped along Old York Road and Bristol Road. General Washington's headquarters was located nearby at the Moland House, where he was joined by the Marquis de Lafayette and Count Pulaski as his troops prepared for the battles of Brandywine and Germantown.

Warwick Township includes Jamison, centrally located along Almshouse Road and the site of the Municipal Building, and the village of Hartsville on Bristol Road at Old York Road (Route 263). Township parks offer a variety of pavilions, playing fields, ponds and playgrounds. Community Park on Meyer Way hosts a summer day camp program and Sunday evening concert series during July and August. A public golf course, Neshaminy Valley Golf Club, is also situated on Almshouse Road.
